Intraprocedure Medication Labels and Buttons Better Match ASTM 11e1 Standards

To more closely match ASTM 11e1 guidelines, we've slightly modified the default appearance of certain anesthesia medication labels and Intraprocedure activity buttons. You will notice the following changes:

·

v  Anesthesia medication labels and Intraprocedure activity buttons now have              slightly different shades of the same color.

v  Labels and buttons for some medications now show black text, rather than white text.

v  Labels and buttons for beta blockers now appear in white, with a colored bar and white text in the middle.

v  If you use any default values in the Med Label Type column in profile records, this change is automatic.

Ø  Note that the Labetalol appears with the new button style for beta blockers.

Visual Changes to the Medication Administration Window

We have made numerous visual changes to the Medication Administration window in the Intraprocedure activity.

The Medication Administration window is now slightly larger to accommodate more buttons, and the following changes help maximize the additional space and increase the usefulness of the available tools:

The Route buttons, Administering user field, and Comment field now appear on the Rate, Dose, or Volume tab (depending on the medication or fluid being administered), rather than the Other tab. Note that the Route buttons do not appear on the Volume tab.

On the Other tab, the text "Admin option" now appears above the Change Time and Cancel Administration buttons. The text "Display option" now appears above the Grid, Limited use report, and Remove buttons.
